First Citizens Bank is enhancing its complaint processes in 2026 and needs to enhance its Complaints team's program, including reporting on potential risk factors and data gaps, as required for 2nd line oversight. The internship program aims to create a talent pipeline by providing development opportunities and hands-on work experience.
Requirements
- data analysis/management experience
- proficiency in MS Word
- proficiency in Excel/analytics
- Strong MS Office skills, particular emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
Responsibilities
- develop repeatable steps for monitoring, developing procedures in MS Word
- review systems and documentation to validate data integrity
- support compliance in developing monitoring procedures
- manipulate large data sets for analysis
- research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, as well as technology enhancements and support
- assigned a project, designed to improve a specific process or solve a problem that you will present at the close of the internship
- Prepare a wrap-up presentation to be shared with the division leader and other key stakeholders in the company to outline your accomplishments and experience during the internship

- Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution (during the time of the summer program)

- Currently pursing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, Analytics, Economics, Political Science, Marketing, or other applicable degree
