First Citizens Bank is looking to develop and review risk models and tools to manage financial metrics, balance sheets, and company risk. This role will support data analysis and research for model development and strategies using historical data.

Responsibilities
- Data Analysis - Participates in the risk management analysis and identifying key risks to the bank.
- Model Development - Supports the execution of stress tests and scenario analysis to evaluate the performance of models under various adverse market conditions.
- Support development of the appropriate documentation for second line risk partners.
- Business Support - Provides daily support for assigned systems, products, or business units.
- Process Improvement - Identifies potential improvements to current procedures, plans, and controls to achieve business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Accountabilities can and may include areas such as research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, as well as technology enhancements and support.
- Be assigned a project, designed to improve a specific process or solve a problem that you will present at the close of the internship

- We are looking for candidates who are within a commutable drivable distance to our Raleigh, NC office.
- Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution (during the time of the summer program)
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program
- Rising seniors or students entering a Masters program
- 3.0 minimum GPA
