Konecranes is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the design and development of configure to order runways and cranes, ensuring high standards of quality and safety, and driving continuous improvement in design processes.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of structural design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and project management tools.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g. CMAA, ASME, ISO) and safety regulations.
  • Lean Six Sigma beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and development of standard runways and cranes, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Utilize advanced engineering principles and industry best practices to design innovative and efficient runway and crane solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses to support project decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of design processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in crane and runway design.
  • Implement lessons learned from previous projects to optimize future designs.

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear goals and expectations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related field) required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
