VIAVI is looking to advance its next-generation AI-driven product initiatives, including GenAI expert agents, multimodal MCP agentic systems, AI-powered digital twins for networks, RAN/6G intelligence, and quantum-safe communication technologies.
Requirements
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, or other programming/scripting languages.
- Exposure to AI/ML models, vector databases, or agent frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerized environments.
- Coursework or internship experience in wireless communications, networks, cryptography, or distributed systems.
- Experience with research, prototyping, or technical writing.
- Strong analytical skills with interest in AI/ML, telecom systems, cybersecurity, or distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid prototyping and benchmarking on advanced AI technologies, including GenAI expert agents, MCP agentic workflows, autonomous network reasoning systems, and AI-in-the-loop testing frameworks.
- Support the development of VIAVI’s AI-powered network digital twins—including data modeling, scenario creation, and validation workflows for RAN, 5G/6G, and NTN.
- Assist in building prototype agentic AI pipelines that integrate with VIAVI products.
- Prototype technological advancements in 5G Advanced and 6G—including AI-RAN, xApp/rApp intelligence, ISAC, NTN, and photonics-enabled architectures.
- Contribute analytical insights for future VIAVI testing and assurance solutions across wireless, cloud, and edge-AI ecosystems.
- Support modeling and simulation experiments within digital twin environments for next-gen RAN and radio optimization.
- Assist in planning and coordinating cross-functional innovation projects within the CTO Innovation Center.
