A profitable early-stage AI startup is looking for a CTO to lead their technical strategic vision and grow their Machine Learning Engineering/Research team, while partnering with the CEO to shape the future technical direction.
Requirements
- Strong strategic and technical vision for LLMs, Reinforcement Learning, RLHF, and generative AI applications
- Proven leadership experience at the VP or Director level in AI/ML, ideally with exposure to frontier labs or large tech companies
- Demonstrated success building, mentoring, and scaling ML teams
Responsibilities
- Set the strategic direction for machine learning initiatives, focusing on Reinforcement Learning, RLHF, LLMs, and cutting-edge generative AI applications.
- Partner with the CEO directly to shape the future technical vision and direction in a strategic position.
- Understand use cases, influence roadmaps, and ensure the technology aligns with both business needs and long-term innovation goals.
- Leverage industry experience and network, define technical standards, best practices, and research priorities.
- Grow the MLE/Research team.
