The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research needs a Curriculum Development Specialist to develop and optimize curriculum for the Manufacturing Advancement department.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of manufacturing preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in LMS design and management
  • Subject matter expertise on developing relevant curriculum with measurable outcomes
  • Industrial experience or experience working with industrial partners in education is preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

  • Provides curriculum development for ATDM and Manufacturing Advancement training programs
  • Mentor instructional teams on efficient use of LMS and instructional techniques, including classroom management
  • Works with external partners to develop meaningful curriculum to meet the demands of industry
  • Maintains current knowledge of existing technology and skills requirements relative to Advanced Manufacturing
  • Serve as SME in instructional delivery techniques
  • Monitor curriculum successes through classroom observation, instructor one-on-ones, student feedback and industry feedback to make necessary updates to curriculum

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, curriculum and instruction, or equivalent preferred
  • Associates degree/Certificate in technical discipline preferred
  • 5 years of experience in technical curriculum development or 10 years of experience in classroom education setting/education administration
  • The ability to communicate both orally and written is required
  • Must be willing to travel on case-by-case basis in support of Manufacturing Advancement
  • Must be able to speak well in public settings; to effectively converse verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to process vague, abstract verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work under stress, interruptions and tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to operate and manipulate a keyboard.
  • Light to medium physical work may be required.
