Qorvo is looking for a Customer Engineering Intern to assist with testing and evaluating UWB & Matter BLE evaluation kits, developing demo applications, and performing embedded firmware customization to solve customer's complex technical challenges in the consumer electronics, smart home/IoT, automotive, and other high-growth segments.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, or IoT devices
- Familiarity with C/C++ for embedded firmware development and debugging tools
- Experience with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or similar prototyping platforms
- Exposure to motor control, robotics, or open-source projects a strong plus
- Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth, UWB, Wi-Fi, Matter) preferred
Responsibilities
- Testing and evaluating UWB & Matter BLE evaluation kits
- Developing demo applications and proof-of-concepts using evaluation kits
- Performing embedded firmware customization (70%+ of role)
- Building integrations with Raspberry Pi, robotics platforms, motor control systems, and open-source frameworks
- Troubleshooting and debugging hardware/software interactions
- Documenting findings, creating demo scripts/tutorials, and presenting results to the team
Other
- Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a DIY/“maker” mindset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information clearly
