Applied Materials is looking to solve quality issues identified by customers or AMAT field personnel and ensure consistent flow of product that meets AMAT and customer quality requirements.
Requirements
- Demonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline or field
- Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services
- Utilize drawings, specifications, industry standards, and sketches, adapting inspection measuring devices and procedures when necessary
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specification requirements
- Develop methods and parameters, project methodology and / or project proposals
- Develop and use procedures
- Prepare documentation for inspection / testing procedures
Responsibilities
- Understand and manage quality issues / escalations reported at assigned customers locations by either customer or AMAT customer account personnel.
- Accept ownership of failure analysis requests and drive appropriate actions including implementation of improvements to build, test and inspection processes to avoid future non-conformances as applicable.
- Prepare formal reports for customers and AMAT field personnel that communicate findings and corrective action taken to address the reported part quality issues.
- Evaluate, disposition and process material returned to the factory from customers and AMAT field personnel.
- Initiate and drive inspection / purge of non-conforming material located in the AMAT field material distribution network as required.
- Develop and apply quality standards in accordance with company and customer requirements.
- Design and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and / or production equipment.
