Terex Utilities is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to support and administer customer quality systems, improve product quality through data-based decision-making, and act as a liaison between customers and the factory to drive necessary improvements.
Requirements
- 4-year technical degree
- 2+ years of industrial experience
- Hands-on manufacturing/engineering experience in a fabrication/assembly shop environment
- Ability to compile and analyze data
- Technical expertise to identify root cause through data analysis
- Ability to evaluate, develop and implement improvements quickly
- Understanding of precision measurement instruments
Responsibilities
- Provide support and administration of customer quality systems (Salesforce)
- Provide strong visibility of customer issues, associated projects, and progress in the form of a dashboard-style format with critical success indicators
- Act as primary point of contact for customer quality relations; includes customer site visits, new bid support, and on-site support for customer visits to manufacturing
- Liaise with sales and commercial team to drive customer needed improvements back into factory setting
- Lead investigations for issue root cause identification as well as corrective and preventive actions
- Link customer warranty data to metric reporting system for manufacturing improvements
- Drive, design and manufacture quality improvements utilizing a data-based decision-making approach, rapid problem resolution, collaboration with engineers and internal customers and relentless continuous process/engineering improvements
