Westinghouse Electric Co is looking for an intern to support the AP1000 Customer Solutions department in understanding customer needs and drafting proposals for engineering improvements to the AP1000® Plant design, contributing to the company's mission of providing clean energy solutions.
Requirements
- Experience with MathCad, MATLAB, or VBA
- Familiarity with the nuclear power plant designs for operating PWR and BWRs or advanced reactors or AP1000
Responsibilities
- Identify and Collect engineering improvements and optimizations
- Support engineering activities to aggregate product financials and regular financial forecasting
- Support engineering activities to develop resource demand signal for engineering and manufacturing
- Support project teams to understand status of projects, supporting resolution of challenges during project execution
- Assist in classifying intellectual property (IP) and evaluating the risk of release to external partners (e.g., customers, 3rd parties)
- Collaborate with global product management on product strategy, product roadmaps, technology roadmaps, and innovation ideas

- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
