Attic Research is looking for interns to contribute to high-fidelity system modeling, CPU emulation, cyber experimentation, and systems analysis, tackling complex problems in cyber on threat-relevant systems.
Requirements
- Familiarity with Python, C/C++, or Rust
- Familiarity with Linux and command-line tooling
- Experience with IDA Pro, Ghidra, QEMU, GDB, x64dbg, or similar analysis tools
- Familiarity with virtualization, instrumentation, or system modeling
- Exposure to embedded systems or firmware reverse engineering
Responsibilities
- Software reverse engineering and vulnerability research of complex systems
- Hardware reverse engineering and in-situ system instrumentation
- Development of custom hardware and software tools to assist / automate the analysis workflow
- Creative and out of the box approaches to understanding how systems work at the lowest levels of software and hardware
Other
- Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Strong interest in systems, security, embedded, or cyber-related work
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a dynamic, research-oriented environment
- U.S. citizenship
