Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) is seeking a Cybersecurity / Infrastructure Engineer Intern to help solve some of the Navy's toughest challenges by securing complex systems and environments within a classified lab.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, firewalls, and network protocols.
- Basic knowledge of Linux operating system security principles.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Familiarity with security scanning tools and vulnerability management concepts.
- Knowledge of security frameworks like NIST or STIGs.
- Understanding of physical security protocols and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Work with team members to secure both classified and unclassified environments to the same stringent security standards.
- Assist in hardening Linux operating systems and network devices to comply with security policies.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of physical security controls within a controlled laboratory.
- Contribute to vulnerability management and patching efforts.
- Participate in other relevant intern tasks as assigned within the classified lab.
Other
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program with a major in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
