WillHire is looking to solve the problem of discovering exceptional talent in the Cybersecurity vertical by hiring sharp, vigilant, and passionate individuals to join their Cyber Security Internship Cohort.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of networking basics, OSI model, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS
- Familiarity with Linux & Windows system administration commands
- Knowledge of penetration testing tools (Nmap, Wireshark, Burp Suite, Metasploit, etc.)
- Fundamentals of cryptography, authentication protocols & OWASP Top 10
- Certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, ISO 27001 (even if in-progress)
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK stack, QRadar, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing network traffic, logs, and system alerts to identify potential threats
- Perform vulnerability assessments and help implement remediation strategies
- Participate in penetration testing and report exploitable weaknesses
- Assist with hardening of systems, identity & access management, and secure configuration of cloud assets
- Research emerging cyber threats, malware trends, and document recommended countermeasures
- Support creation of incident response plans, SOPs, and security awareness documents
- Maintain security documentation, audit trails, and compliance reports
Other
- Currently pursuing (or recently completed) B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/MSc in Cyber Security, Computer Science, IT, or related fields
- Critical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive learning mindset
- Participation in CTFs, bug bounty, or cybersecurity clubs/communities
- Motivation, culture fit, communication skills
- Resume + short write-up on your cybersecurity interests/projects
