Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern to support Cyber risk assessment activities, including threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and development/updates of mitigations. The role involves a collaborative approach to planning, design, development, validation, and verification of Cyber solutions and Cyber plans/procedures, as well as supporting non-Cyber teams to identify Cyber requirements and ensure hardware/software compliance.
Requirements
- General knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- General knowledge of vulnerability analysis
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Windows or Linux (e.g. Red Hat, Ubuntu)
- Hands-on Scripting (e.g. Python, shell/bash, PowerShell, or other similar software tools.)
- Embedded systems.
- Software development experience.
Responsibilities
- Support Cyber risk assessment activities, which include threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and development/updates of mitigations.
- Acquire the skills to take an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to planning, design, development, validation and verification of Cyber solutions and development of Cyber plans and procedures.
- Support the Cyber team as a representative to non-Cyber teams.
- Supporting collaborative engagements to identify Cyber requirements.

Other
- Enrolled in a degree program majoring in Cyber Engineer, or related Engineering Degree
- Must be able to effectively work in a team environment.
- Open-source intelligence and similar methodologies.
- Cyber-hardening operating systems using Department of Defense standards (i.e., DISA STIGs).
