BWXT is looking to solve cyber security challenges at their LTC facilities
Requirements
- Awareness of the PC hardware components, desktop operating system software, application software and some network troubleshooting.
- Prior experience or education related to performing risk assessments, developing security plans, and developing Standard Security Configuration Guides or similar technical products.
- Knowledge of the PC Industry’s current and emerging technology trends and direction, as well as a keen interest in computer-based information systems and technology.
- Ability to perform tasks such as application installations and upgrades, virus protection and eradication.
Responsibilities
- Assists with work related to queued work orders received and assigned by the help desk.
- Assists with creation of cyber security-related process and procedure documentation.
- Performs basic information security related tasks under supervision of cyber engineers.
- Supports the other local IT staff with a variety of projects as needed.
Other
- High School Diploma with current enrollment and completed college coursework in Information Technology.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with no dual citizenship.
- Ability to interact effectively with management, staff and other company personnel, and work independently, and/or as part of a team.
- Ability to report to work at an assigned office location in Lynchburg, VA.
- Must be able to work throughout summer 2026.
