Optum is looking to solve the business and technical problem of investigating workplace incidents and data events by building an investigative data platform. This involves identifying impacted data, conducting thorough data collection and analysis, and communicating findings to ensure data integrity and support health optimization on a global scale.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Data Mining, or Data Scientist role
- 3+ years of experience writing and deploying production Python code in a professional environment
- 3+ years of experience in PySpark and Databricks
- 2+ years of experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as GitHub actions, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
- 2+ years of experience with data visualization tools and libraries such as plotly, seaborn, Chart.js
- Experience with medallion schemas and data lake management
- Proficiency in SQL and data modeling and integration tools
Responsibilities
- Participate in incident investigations following a data event
- Secure and document incidents promptly to preserve digital evidence and prevent contamination or loss of critical information
- Collect and analyze diverse forms of data
- Present investigation results to management and stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding
- Create streamlined solutions to ingest, aggregate, deduplicate, and report on relevant data elements
- Work comfortably under time-sensitive conditions while ensuring thoroughness
- Maintain high ethical standards and the ability to remain objective and confidential
