Lockheed Martin is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern Cybersecurity Engineer to perform cyber security system lifecycle tasks and help keep people safe and solve the world's most complex challenges.
Requirements
- experience and/or knowledge of cyber industry/DoD best practices for confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of systems
- familiarity with STIGS
- basic understanding of NIST standards
- Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT II certification (Security+ or others)
- Experience and knowledge of basic software practices such as scripting and configuration management
- Experience with RMF, STIGs, and/or DoD systems
Responsibilities
- performing cyber security system lifecycle tasks
- system security assessments
- Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) hardening and evaluation
- Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifact maintenance
Other
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, System Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance
- Must be able to work at a facility that requires special access
