Entegris is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineering Co-Op to join their Cybersecurity Architecture & Engineering team to assist in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and automated solutions across the enterprise, enhancing the organization's security posture.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Go)
- Exposure to security tools or platforms (e.g., Tenable, Active Directory, cloud security platforms) is a plus
- Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts such as network security, identity management, and threat detection
- Preferred certifications: CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-900, or similar
Responsibilities
- Assist in evaluating and testing cybersecurity tools and technologies (e.g., IAM, PAM, SWG, NAC).
- Support automation efforts for routine security tasks and workflows.
- Help document architecture designs, engineering standards, and operational procedures.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and remediation tracking.
- Contribute to firewall rule reviews and network segmentation planning.
- Analyze logs and alerts to identify potential security issues.
- Assist in onboarding and configuration of security platforms.
Other
- Minimum completion of 2 years of undergraduate coursework
- Prior internship, co-op, or project experience in IT or cybersecurity preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or a related field
- Must be a currently enrolled student
- Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June.
- Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program
