Cencora is looking to improve the cybersecurity posture of its organization by identifying and mitigating security risks, protecting critical systems and data, and staying ahead of emerging cyber threats.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, such as encryption, authentication, and network security.
- Familiarity with tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, Kali Linux, Metasploit or equivalents
- Experience with programming/scripting languages like Python, Java, or Bash is a plus.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
- Any relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP) are a bonus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of security solutions, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security risks.
- Monitor and analyze security alerts generated by system logs, SIEM tools, and other monitoring platforms.
- Support incident response efforts by investigating, documenting, and mitigating potential threats.
- Perform research on emerging cyber threats, attack vectors, and security technologies, and present findings to the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into software development, IT infrastructure, and business processes.
- Assist in the development and documentation of security policies, procedures, and training materials.
Other
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Must not require sponsorship to work in the US, now or in the future
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
