WoodmenLife is looking for a Cybersecurity Intern to assist with the planning, designing, and implementing of security measures to safeguard the company's Information Resources, develop security solutions, and contribute to security operations automation.

Responsibilities
- Assists with the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of Information Security controls to ensure they satisfy WL policies and standards, including configuration and health checks of operational tooling.
- Conducts security audits on applications and systems used by WL to document and present findings along with recommended solutions, alternatives, and procedural changes to improve WL’s security posture; partners with engineers to validate remediation and measures impact.
- Conducts research and/or development for new information security techniques to evaluate their applicability to WL’s Information Resources, with an emphasis on opportunities to automate repetitive analysis and response tasks.
- Assists with the Third-Party Service Provider (TPSP) program to include monitoring third provider security profiles, assisting with risk assessments, and updating documentation; explores automation to streamline evidence collection and ticketing.
- Assists with specialized projects to support WoodmenLife strategic initiatives.
- Performs research and analysis to support departmental needs.
- Contribute to security operations automation to increase the speed, consistency, and effectiveness of security outcomes.
Other
- Rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior in college, currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field(s).
- Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA
- Ability to work 38.75 hours per week
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively while working collaboratively.
