Brightly Software, Inc. is looking for a Cybersecurity Intern to support their Cyber Security team in product and corporate security initiatives, experiment with AI tools for better customer response, and learn to identify and assess vulnerabilities.
Requirements
- Foundational understanding of networking concepts and system vulnerabilities.
- Experience with generative AI technologies such as ChatGPT, preferably creating and using RAG (retrieval augmented generation) techniques.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) preferred.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management tools or SIEM solutions is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support the Cyber Security team across product and corporate security initiatives.
- Experiment with AI powered tools that will help the Cyber Security team better respond to customer requests.
- Learn to identify and assess vulnerabilities in application code, collaborating with engineering teams to determine relevance.
- Assist with threat, configuration, and patch management in alignment with compliance standards and security frameworks.
- Participate in incident response and remediation activities.
- Contribute to security awareness and education efforts across the organization.
- Work with the Cyber Security team to advance roadmaps and initiatives using agile methods.

- Current enrollment in a university program related to Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
- Demonstrated curiosity and initiative in learning about security challenges and technologies.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team.
