Crowe is looking for a senior techno-functional leader to own the data lifecycle for their Microsoft Consulting Manufacturing Business Applications unit, aiming to maximize client value by properly organizing, governing, and leveraging data in manufacturing environments.

Requirements

  • 7–12+ years delivering data‑intensive work on large ERP programs (preferably Microsoft D365 Finance & Supply Chain; SAP or Oracle also considered).
  • Demonstrated ownership of data migration for manufacturing clients: domain scoping, mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and cutover execution.
  • Hands‑on ability to produce mockups/wireframes/POCs and partner with technical teams on practical solutions (SQL basics, data profiling, entity models, APIs/ETL concepts).
  • Familiarity with Azure data services (e.g., data factory, fabric, data lakes, pipelines, governance)—not as a deep SME but able to collaborate effectively with specialists.
  • Exposure to Power Platform (Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate) and Microsoft CoPilot.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Git, and structured delivery practices (backlogs, user stories, test management).
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (D365 Finance/Supply Chain, Power Platform, Power BI) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end‑to‑end data migration workstream for ERP implementations —from discovery and scoping through cutover and post‑go‑live stabilization.
  • Establish a modern migration playbook (standards, templates, accelerators) covering mapping, cleansing, enrichment, validation, reconciliation, and defect triage.
  • Optimize build/test cycles using automation and re‑usable scripts; drive measurable reductions in cycle time and defects.
  • Partner with technical teams on tooling (e.g., D365 Data Management & data entities, Dataverse, ETL pipelines) while staying focused on business outcomes and readiness.
  • Start analytics work from Day 1 of the project: treat data as a core design element in ERP implementations, not an afterthought.
  • Define success measures and a KPI tree aligned to manufacturing goals (e.g., OTIF, schedule adherence, cost variances, inventory turns) before configuration begins.
  • Position clients for AI and automation: harden data lineage, governance, and telemetry so Copilot, advanced analytics, and Power Automate scenarios can be safely adopted and deliver measurable outcomes.

Other

  • Strong manufacturing functional knowledge (BOMs, routings, MRP, production orders, inventory, quality, costing, procurement, order‑to‑cash, plan‑to‑produce, record‑to‑report).
  • Proven client‑facing communicator with executive presence; skilled in workshops, storytelling with data, and decision facilitation.
  • People management experience: team leadership, coaching, performance feedback, and resource planning.
  • Experience with MES/PLM/EDI integrations and manufacturing shop floor data.
  • We expect the candidate to uphold Crowe’s values of Care, Trust, Courage, and Stewardship.
