Waystar is seeking to shape and execute its data protection and AI security strategies, ensuring the secure and ethical use of data and artificial intelligence across the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience implementing and managing tools such as Microsoft Purview, Cyberhaven, Cyera, Varonis, etc.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML lifecycle, data classification, and privacy-enhancing technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and their native security tools.
- Familiarity with the data security lifecycle, AI ethics, bias mitigation, and model interpretability.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the organization’s strategy for data protection and secure AI adoption.
- Develop frameworks for data security lifecycle, AI governance, risk management, and compliance.
- Evaluate, select, deploy, and manage data security platforms such as: Microsoft Purview for data governance and compliance.
- Cyberhaven or equivalent for data behavior analytics and insider threat detection.
- Cyera or equivalent for cloud data security and visibility.
- Varonis or equivalent for data access governance and threat detection.
- Identify existing tools with AI and integrate securely into the existing infrastructure.
Other
- 4+ years of experience in data security, with at least one year focused on AI-related initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Certified AI Security Professional.
