Requirements
- Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Computer or similar from an accredited college or university
- Prior internship or co-op experience (preferred) with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Knowledge of analytical programs such as Power BI and Spotfire
- Knowledge of Weibull analysis
- Familiarity with locomotive operations
- Experience with data analysis and interpretation
Responsibilities
- Learn about our standard processes.
- Work with all the different RAMP groups; starting with the mechanical desk to follow train operations in Wilmington, DE, then having the option to move on to our expert data analytics team or Engineering teams in our Siemens New Castle, DE facility.
- Learn about and create Weibull analysis
- Learn about analytical programs such as Power BI and Spotfire; create reports and dashboards that contribute to actionable outcomes
- Learn about how a locomotive works through training and shadowing and through the assignment of relevant tasks to build up your practical knowledge.
- Interface with different areas of the RAMP, Modifications and Engineering departments and learn about how collaboration drives success

- Must reside or go to school near internship location (New Castle)
- Availability: 40 hours per week from June to August
- Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
- Must be a rising junior or senior pursuing an undergraduate degree
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
