William Blair is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Corporate Access/Broker Liaison team within Investment Management to design, build, and support departmental databases and processes, extract and report data, and implement and optimize data infrastructure.
Requirements
- Outstanding Microsoft Power BI skills
- strong demonstrated Excel skills
- Python, R, or SQL preferred
- Experience with databases and extracting data from API’s (Application Programming Interface) preferred
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities
- Able to digest complexity while maintaining an understanding of the “big picture” of business needs
- 5+ years of relevant data experience, within the financial sector preferred
Responsibilities
- Designs, builds, and supports departmental databases and processes in PowerBI, Tableau, or equivalent data visualization platform
- Extracts, compiles, and reports data for ad-hoc and recurring reporting and audit queries for department review
- Implement and optimize front and back-end data infrastructure to enhance functionality and user experience.
- Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reporting platforms.
- Present insights, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner

- Assist with managing & maintaining business relationships.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills with ability to interface with all levels of management
