Kalamata Capital Group is looking for a Data Analyst to contribute to building new web applications by analyzing large datasets and creating reports to provide insights into their core businesses.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Strong familiarity with MongoDB
- Strong familiarity with node.js
- Experience with structured and unstructured databases
- Experience with data visualization tools preferred
- Knowledge of machine learning or statistical modelling somewhat preferred
Responsibilities
- Collecting, cleaning, processing, organizing and analyzing large datasets from multiple sources
- Efficiently organizing, storing, and processing data using sophisticated data structures and algorithms
- Working with NoSQL databases to create reporting for the business
- Building reports (tables, graphs, etc.) to provide insight into our core businesses
- Cleaning and preparing data for predictive modeling exercise, and supporting those exercises
- Document data processes and analytical findings clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Create ad-hoc and recurring reports to meet evolving business needs
Other
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and an ability to work independently
- Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field
- 1+ years of experience as a Data Analyst
- Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop new, automated reporting
