Dev Technology is seeking a Data Analyst to join their team, with a strong background in business requirement testing and defect management, to ensure that data-related requirements are met and thoroughly tested.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL for database querying
- Experience with Tableau Server/Desktop/Prep to create data sources and visualization dashboards.
- Experience with Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
- Experience in Python to clean data, perform analysis, and automate tasks to increase efficiency in handling datasets and reports.
- Ability to access and extract data; clean, transform and prepare data; perform data analysis; and perform statistical measures such as data calculations.
- Ability to analyze relationships between datasets and identify patterns
- Understanding of ETL processes and data management is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data to identify trends and actionable insights, using statistical methods and data models to support business decisions.
- Create clear visualizations and develop reports using Tableau, Power BI, or Excel to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Conduct spatial data analysis using GIS software (ArcGIS)
- Clean and preprocess data, handling inconsistencies and outliers using tools like SQL and Excel to prepare it for analysis.
- Design and implement efficient data analysis workflows to optimize processing and analysis tasks.
- Test dashboards, reports, and data sources to ensure business requirements are met, and collaborate with product owners to ensure accurate delivery.
- Create and manage Tableau visualizations, dashboards, and data sources to provide accurate reporting and insights.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree or five (5) or more years of relevant experience in requirements gathering experience or testing experience.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify data discrepancies and issues in reports and dashboards.
- Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- U.S. Citizenship is required. Must be able to obtain a DHS public trust clearance.
