Booz Allen needs a data analyst to support the Department of the Navy's cloud data team by transforming complex data sets into useful information to solve challenges and drive data decision-making.
Requirements
Experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
Experience writing analytical and technical reports and developing data visualizations in Power BI or Qlik to deliver key insights
Experience with a scripting language such as SQL, R, or Python to extract data and perform analytics and visualizations
Knowledge of good data principles, including data cleaning, preprocessing, and wrangling
Experience with DevOps principles and Agile methodologies, such as Kanban and Scrum
Experience with version control systems, such as Git
Knowledge of AWS and Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies
Responsibilities
Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through the collection, analysis, and visualization of large data sets.
Apply data cleansing skills and data analytics experience by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on the audience.
Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, scripting languages such as SQL, Python, R, and Microsoft Office.
Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.
Apply data visualization through different tools such as Tableau, Qlik, and Power BI.
Grow your communication and technical skills by creating data-centric solutions across the Department of the Navy cloud teams.
