The Computer Merchant, LTD. is seeking a Business Analyst to lead complex analytics initiatives that support strategic transformation within their Corporate Functions Program Management Office (CFPMO). The role aims to modernize reporting capabilities, enhance decision-making, and drive operational excellence through data analytics for clients across various industries, including financial services and insurance.
Requirements
- Mastery-level expertise in business analytics, dashboard development, and tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or MicroStrategy.
- Strong SQL, data modeling, and semantic layer design skills; ability to translate complex business needs into intuitive reporting solutions.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional analytics projects and delivering high-impact insights independently.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies, including writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and using tools like Jira.
- Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills, with a track record of mentoring analytics staff and coordinating with offshore teams.
- Ability to document technical and business requirements, process flows, and test plans effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting to executives and facilitating discussions around business use cases.
Responsibilities
- Lead high-impact analytics initiatives supporting strategic transformation efforts within CFPMO, focusing on portfolio, resource, and financial management.
- Design, develop, and implement advanced reporting solutions utilizing Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, and other analytics tools.
- Translate complex business requirements into effective dashboards, reports, and data models that enable data-driven decision-making at all organizational levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy demand and capacity reports into standardized, enterprise-level tools aligned with best practices.
- Document technical and business requirements, process flows, and test plans to support project execution and quality assurance.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum teams by writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing backlogs using Jira or similar tools.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions that enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in business analytics, data science, or enterprise reporting within a large corporate environment, with a preference for financial services.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Mentor junior analysts and coordinate with offshore teams to ensure consistency and high-quality deliverables.
