The company needs to compile and analyze sales and pricing data to determine product price sensitivity and recommend price objectives for the purchasing team, while also creating and managing reporting for the purchasing team.
Requirements
- Employee must be capable of programming in VBA.
- Advanced computer skills in Excel and email with an aptitude for learning new programs.
- Excellent analytical skills, able to create, understand and effect business through spreadsheets.
- Understanding of retail math, price point analysis, inventory turns and margin.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- Compiles, and analyzes sales and pricing data to determine price sensitivity of products and to recommend price objectives for the purchasing team
- creates and manages reporting for the purchasing team
- Compiles information from retail locations, online databases, and other sources to keep informed on price trends and common retail pricing strategy.
- Develops and maintains reporting for purchasing and accounting.
- Leverages historical data for pricing analysis and cluster analysis.
- Confers with buyers and analyzes sales history to determine factors that affect prices.
- Track results from pricing recommendations and prepares reports, charts, and graphs of findings.

- Occasional overnight travel as warranted by the position.
- Employee must be able to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
- Employee must be physically present at the worksite. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
- One-year college business courses or relevant office experience.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to ensure timely and accurate execution of responsibilities.
