Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to support their cloud migration initiatives, specifically transitioning from on-premises systems to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role aims to transform financial data into actionable insights, drive informed decision-making, and enhance data capabilities within a fast-paced fintech environment.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency with SQL and relational database systems
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Data Studio)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling techniques
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)
- Knowledge of Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis
- Familiarity with data warehousing solutions and ETL processes
- Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Assist in mapping and documenting current on-premises data sources, workflows, and dependencies to support migration planning
- Validate data integrity and consistency during and after migration to GCP
- Collaborate with data engineers to redesign data pipelines optimized for cloud architecture
- Help identify opportunities to enhance data capabilities through GCP's advanced analytics tools
- Support testing and verification of migrated data systems to ensure business continuity
- Create documentation and training materials to help business users adapt to new cloud-based tools
- Gather, analyze, and interpret business and market data to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements

- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or similar role
- Analytical mindset with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Basic understanding of brokerage services, financial markets, and fintech practices
