The Disney Streaming Analytics Content & Engagement Core data team empowers business partners with tools and insights to explore, analyze, and monitor content metadata and engagement behavior across the Disney+ and Hulu platforms. The team's expertise is in the design, optimization, and implementation of content metadata and engagement data models, dashboards, and reports that enable stakeholders to make key business decisions and steer the strategic direction of the company.
Requirements
- Mastery of SQL and some experience with Python/R or other statistical programming languages
- Expertise with data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, Chartio, etc.
- Experience developing and maintaining optimized tables for reporting through ETLs
- Strong analytical and technical skills to troubleshoot issues, analyze the cause, quickly come-up with possible solutions, document the changes, and communicate organizational impact
Responsibilities
- Creation of a Single Source of Truth: Bring analysts and stakeholders together from across the company to define, standardize, scale, and govern metrics.
- Partnership and Communication: Collaborate with data engineering and business stakeholders to ensure data quality, integrity, and availability for analysis.
- Reporting and Performance: Own end-to-end development of data products by defining business needs, designing & optimizing ETLs, and building dashboards and data visualizations.
Other
- A Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related degree
- 3+ years of analytical experience, ideally specifically in analytics and/or engineering
- Exceptional spoken and written communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
- Intense drive for delivering exceptional products, detail-oriented, curiosity for the unknown
- Prior experience in Media/Entertainment is a plus
