The Kentucky Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) Division of Family Support seeks a Data Analyst to provide statistical data and complete research for leadership to ensure effective development, implementation, and management of agency programs serving vulnerable populations and to maintain complex programs.
Requirements
- Two years of professional experience in IT data analysis.
- Experience with analyzing, collecting and reviewing large value of data.
- A master's degree in computer science will substitute for one year of the required experience.
- Two years of additional related experience in IT data analysis will substitute for the education requirement.
Responsibilities
- Uses programing language to extract data and compile reports.
- Collects, reviews, and analyzes data retrieved from Worker Portal and other data systems for fiscal impacts and tracks data for measurable outcomes.
- Analyzes federal and state statistics pulled from Worker Portal and CHFS Business Intelligence (BI) Reports including caseloads, staffing, productivity, timeliness rates, case accuracy data, regulations, and clarifications for budgetary impact for DCBS programs.
- Develops, implements, and interprets DCBS policies and procedures related to data.
- Measures outcomes on a regular and ongoing basis by analyzing data and statistical information compiled.
- Consults with staff who manage data systems to determine the type of information needed to create data reports that assists departments in meeting goals, outcomes to determine fiscal impact.
- Coordinates work of procedures development specialists based within the division leadership who are engaged in collecting and analyzing data within the department.
