Margaritaville at Sea is looking to ensure enterprise data is accurate, consistent, and trusted for decision-making by hiring a Data Analyst to support the effective use and management of data across the organization.
Requirements
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI or Looker
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA, DCAM)
- Knowledge of data privacy, compliance, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools
- Deep understanding of data governance principles and best practices
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
Responsibilities
- Perform data profiling and quality assessments across critical systems: Analyzes datasets to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and patterns, ensuring data integrity and readiness for business use.
- Monitor data accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and compliance with governance standards: Implements ongoing checks and controls to maintain high-quality data aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain business glossaries, metadata, and data dictionaries: Creates and updates documentation that defines key data elements, ensuring shared understanding and consistency across teams.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to resolve data issues and enforce standards: Collaborates cross-functionally to address data quality concerns, implement governance policies, and support scalable data solutions.
- Support audits, regulatory requirements, and compliance initiatives (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA where applicable): Prepares and provides data-related documentation and evidence to meet internal and external compliance obligations.
- Build and deliver reports and dashboards that track data quality and governance KPIs: Designs visual tools to monitor performance metrics, enabling transparency and continuous improvement in data governance efforts.

- 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, data governance, or data stewardship
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and documentation capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business audiences
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Occasional shipboard travel when business requires
