Augusta University is seeking a skilled bioinformatics analyst to support cancer genomics research by developing and implementing advanced data analysis pipelines for scRNA-seq, bulk RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, and multi-omics integration.
Requirements
- expertise in scRNA-seq, bulk RNA-seq analysis, spatial transcriptomics, and multi-omics integration in cancer genomics
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, TensorFlow, MATLAB), R, and SQL (including query optimization and indexing)
- experience in data cleaning, signal preprocessing, and feature extraction
- Designing and maintaining robust ETL frameworks (Pentaho, Airflow)
- deploying solutions on cloud platforms (GCP, Docker, BigQuery)
- feature engineering, model development, training, evaluation, deployment
- integration of interactive dashboards into unified front-end platforms
Responsibilities
- Developing reproducible pipelines for differential expression, pathway enrichment, and immune deconvolution, supporting cancer biomarker discovery and drug response analysis.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, TensorFlow, MATLAB), R, and SQL (including query optimization and indexing) is required, along with experience in data cleaning, signal preprocessing, and feature extraction, with emphasis on maximizing data fidelity and algorithmic efficiency.
- Designing and maintaining robust ETL frameworks (Pentaho, Airflow) and deploying solutions on cloud platforms (GCP, Docker, BigQuery), ensuring secure data integration and role-based access control.
- Demonstrate a track record across all stages of the data lifecycle, from collection and preprocessing to feature engineering, model development, training, evaluation, deployment, and the integration of interactive dashboards into unified front-end platforms.
