SCAN Group is looking to tackle pressing issues facing older adults by innovating healthcare for seniors. This role will support value-based care initiatives and population health efforts by analyzing healthcare data to identify trends, gaps in care, and evaluate the impact of care models.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools like Power BI
- Familiarity with Python, R, Snowflake is a plus
- Experience with EHR systems and healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR)
- Strong ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable insights
- Understanding of healthcare quality metrics and value-based care models
Responsibilities
- Gather, understand, and integrate healthcare data from multiple sources (EHRs, claims, patient surveys, etc.)
- Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations
- Analyze clinical, operational, and financial data to support value-based care initiatives
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to track performance metrics (e.g., HEDIS, STAR ratings, cost/utilization trends)
- Support quality improvement and population health efforts by identifying trends and gaps in care
- Evaluate the impact of care models and pilot programs on patient outcomes and cost savings
- Assist in building automated reporting tools and real-time dashboards
Other
- 1–3 years in a healthcare data analyst or similar role, preferably in a value-based care or population health setting
- Collaboration & Communication with stakeholders to understand and build models/reports for their needs
- Work closely with clinical, IT, and operations teams to translate data insights into actionable strategies
- Present findings to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and visually engaging manner
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities
- Bachelor’s degree in data, Public Health, Health Informatics, Statistics, or a related field
