The Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the Cabinet for Health & Family Services needs a Data Analyst to manage and analyze data from the Kentucky All Schedule Prescription Electronic Reporting (KASPER) system, ensuring compliance with state regulations and assisting law enforcement and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
- Two years of professional experience in IT data analysis.
- Graduate of a college or university with an associate's degree in information technology (IT) or related field OR certification in an IT-related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- A master's degree in computer science will substitute for one year of the required experience.
- Two years of additional related experience in IT data analysis will substitute for the education requirement.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and acts as a liaison for the Kentucky All Schedule Prescription Electronic Reporting System (KASPER).
- Serves as contact person for technical issues related to the KASPER manual queue.
- Analyzes data from the KASPER system.
- Assists management with planning and analyzing data for regulatory agencies and law enforcement agencies.
- Assists management with planning and analyzing new projects with the emphasis on KASPER manuals.
- Provides technical assistance to dispensers regarding electronic reporting of drug prescribing data.
- Works with programmatic and technical staff to work out KASPER system issues.
