The Data Analyst assists in collecting and reporting data necessary for self-assessment, planning, and academic and administrative decision-making for the college.
Requirements
- Proficiency in reporting and data management tools, e.g. SQL
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software, e.g. Excel
- Competency in data visualization tools, e.g. Microsoft Report Builder, Power BI
- Competency in data analysis tools, e.g. Python, R
- Familiarity with relational database structures, preferably student information systems, e.g. Anthology Student, Jenzabar J1, or Ellucian Banner
- Participation in data accuracy and data integrity projects
- Professional certifications in data analytics or SQL fundamentals demonstrating practical skills and knowledge
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Director of Institutional Effectiveness in the preparation of federal, state, and institutional data reports and requirements on behalf of the college.
- Measures program effectiveness.
- Prepares data for and contributes to preparation of a variety of reports for internal and external partners.
- Completes data accuracy and data integrity projects.
- Develops and conducts survey research in response to institutional needs.
- Provides training and data support to key college leaders.
- Responds to all ad hoc requests for information.
Other
- Associate Degree in Mathematics/Data Analytics/Statistics/Computer Science or related fields
