Rexel is looking for a Data Analyst to gather and translate business and service requirements into queries, models, and tools for insightful data analysis and forecasting.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working with SQL databases, writing and executing SQL queries and using the results in the creation of technical and business reports preferred
- Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, StarQuery preferred
- T-SQL and MS SQL experience preferred
- Experience with ETL tools
- Basic HTML/Web Programming experience
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Strong background in Math
Responsibilities
- gathering and translating business and service requirements into queries, models and tools to allow for insightful data analysis and forecasting
- collaborate with various users to develop and interpret reports, create complex data queries, reconcile data from sources, develop ad-hoc queries to augment/pilot new reports and perform data cleansing and auditing to identify idiosyncrasies and ensure data integrity
- educates customers/employees on availability of standard reports to meet operational information requirements
- uses deployed business intelligence capabilities to make recommendations to help business users analyze data and create customized reports and analytics
- Be the point of contact for report/analytic needs
- Work across multiple departments to gather data and business requirements to meet reporting needs
- Develop and interpret reports, create complex data queries, reconcile data from sources, develop ad-hoc queries
