FreeWheel, a subsidiary of Comcast, is looking to hire a Data Analyst to interpret complex business, operational, customer, and economic data to generate actionable insights that influence strategic decision-making, optimize business processes, predict key metrics, and support initiatives that drive growth and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proficiency in querying large and complex datasets using platforms such as Teradata, SQL Server, Hadoop, and AWS is essential.
- Strong skills in data documentation, data compilation, and familiarity with data tools and visualization software.
- Experience in online advertising, prioritization, and conducting detailed data analysis to support business insights is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
- Staying abreast of emerging trends in analytics, statistics, and machine learning, and applying innovative techniques to solve business challenges.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to collect, analyze, and develop models based on diverse data sources.
- Interpreting complex business, operational, customer, and economic data to generate actionable insights that influence strategic decision-making.
- Conducting deep-dive analyses, developing forecasting models, and communicating findings effectively to senior leadership.
- Translating business and analysis needs into technical specifications, and identifying relevant data sources.
- Analyzing large, complex datasets to uncover actionable insights, utilizing self-service analytics and reporting tools.
- Executing queries across multiple big data platforms such as Teradata, SQL Server, Hadoop, and AWS, and integrate data from disparate sources to support comprehensive analysis.
- Developing predictive forecasting models to estimate sales, demand, and other critical metrics, and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns, offers, or initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Other
- A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience in data analysis or a related field is required.
- The candidate must demonstrate excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
- The analyst is expected to exercise independent judgment, demonstrate discretion, and support a culture of data-driven decision-making, teamwork, and continuous learning.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends, as well as undertaking other duties as assigned, is necessary to meet organizational needs.
- While a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred, candidates with significant professional experience or a combination of coursework and practical knowledge will also be considered.
