Columbia University Irving Medical Center's Center for Early Relational Health (CERH) needs a Data Analyst to manage, analyze, and visualize complex datasets to support their mission of advancing science, practice, and policy for infant and caregiver relationships. This role will help translate data into actionable insights for research publications and community initiatives.
Requirements
- Utilize computational tools and programming languages such as SAS, Python, R, Typescript, and/or Julia for data analysis.
- Implement and manage database queries and administration using SQL or equivalent database systems.
- Develop and maintain procedures to ensure data quality and consistency (QC/QA) across multiple ongoing studies conducted both virtually and on-site.
- Maintain and update databases to track data collection, submission, and cleaning activities.
- Apply descriptive and inferential statistical methods to analyze research data.
- Develop, implement, and interpret statistical and predictive models for hypothesis testing in clinical and epidemiological studies.
- Process, analyze, and create data visualizations for reports, presentations, and publications.

- Conduct all research activities in accordance with study protocols, standard operating procedures, and institutional policies, ensuring participant confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the PI, site coordinator, and study staff to implement the Clinical Quality. Management Plan (CQMP) for data collection, review, and submission.
- Design and refine data collection tools, including surveys, focus groups, and interviews.
- Contribute to dissemination efforts by preparing abstracts, manuscripts, and other scientific materials
- Performs general administrative functions, and related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.
