Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in data acquisition, processing, and analysis is essential, with proficiency in programming languages like R, Python, MATLAB, or SQL being highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, GCP guidelines, and familiarity with clinical research environments, particularly REDCap and IRB requirements, will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and clean datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency across multiple research projects.
  • Develop and implement data collection protocols, including designing and maintaining REDCap databases and forms.
  • Employ statistical and data visualization tools to interpret complex multivariate relationships within datasets.
  • Identify and troubleshoot data issues, making necessary corrections and investigating root causes related to input errors or inadequate field validations.
  • Create comprehensive reports, charts, graphs, and tables for research presentations, publications, and grant applications.
  • Collaborate with faculty and research staff to refine data collection and analysis methodologies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support the integration of wearable, video, and MRI technologies to quantify movement and disease progression in neuromuscular disorders.

Other

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combined with relevant experience in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, statistics, or engineering.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively are critical.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.
