The Data Analyst will be responsible for working with research staff both internationally and domestically, managing data collection and performing data analyses for one or more research projects.
Requirements
- Thorough skills associated with statistical analysis and systems programming
- Thorough skills in analysis and consultation
- Knowledge of several statistical programs including STATA or R and MS Excel, as well as the data management program REDCap, is required to ensure the accuracy of study data, produce relevant datasets for analysis, conduct data analysis, and prepare data for publication/presentation
- Proficiency designing and analyzing choice experiments using Sawtooth and/or other statistical programs including STATA or R
- Research skills at a level to evaluate alternate solutions and develop recommendations
Responsibilities
- developing data collection instruments
- collecting and organizing quantitative data
- training project staff to collect quantitative data
- data management in Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) or another similar program
- work with biostatisticians to execute data analyses
- Skills of interest include international field site management, data management and human factors research.
- As desired, the project provides opportunities to be involved in Bayesian analytic methods and health economic studies.
Other
- This is a one year Contract position.
- Bachelor's degree in epidemiology, public health, or related area and 3 years of directly relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing
- Master’s degree in epidemiology, public health or related area or equivalent experience/training
- Experience working on international collaborations including international field experience
