Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is seeking a Data Analyst to support its expanding class-action litigation practice, focusing on analyzing complex datasets related to wage and hour disputes, pay equity, and other class-action matters.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems like ADP, UKG
- Knowledge of employment law, wage and hour regulations, pay equity, and EEO compliance (preferred)
- Ability to design exposure models and deliver visual insights for case strategy
- Experience supporting multiple offices or working in a law firm environment (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Partner with attorneys and clients to assess data needs, develop analysis strategies, and deliver actionable insights
- Obtain, structure, and manage raw datasets from sources such as payroll, timekeeping, and HR systems
- Analyze data using advanced tools to create pivot tables, charts, and visual dashboards
- Perform complex analytics to generate exposure assessments, pay equity audits, and class lists
- Design reports to identify case strengths, risks, and settlement strategies
- Organize data workflows for wage and hour analyses, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including attorneys, clients, and external experts to facilitate data-related discussions
Other
- 4-6+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within employment law or class-action litigation contexts
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in statistics, data analytics, or related fields
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed
- Record billable hours and ensure timely submission in accordance with firm policies
