The organization is building a new team to leverage its market position and access to data for developing advanced predictive models in the property and casualty insurance market.
Requirements
- Deep experience with PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter configuration and data.
- Experience with multiple US/Canadian property and casualty standard lines of business.
- Expert skills in data profiling, analysis, and basic statistical methods.
- Hands-on experience building datasets for predictive modeling.
- Expert SQL skills including advanced functions, table design, view creation, stored procedure and script coding, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Experience with DBT.
Responsibilities
- Participate in multiple projects focused on preparing and understanding data for predictive modeling and machine learning.
- Perform data interrogation, exploratory data analysis, profiling, and reconciliation.
- Create and revise datasets based on input from product managers and data scientists/actuaries.
- Harmonize data across multiple customers.
- Develop features and conduct initial testing.
- Generate data reports.
- Create and manage data assets, harmonization, and code emphasizing simplicity, scalability, reusability, and documentation.
Other
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of property and casualty policy administration and claims processing concepts.
- Exposure to natural language processing and other machine learning techniques.
- Ability to communicate data-derived insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
