The YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Data Analyst to support the Research, Evaluation & Strategy department in data management and reporting across the organization to inform key business decisions within operations, fund development, marketing, and finance.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with Salesforce (SFDC) CRM reports and dashboards.
- Experience in analyzing data sets within Tableau or other Analytics BI Tools preferred.
- Experience with Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) preferred.
- Strong numerical reasoning skills and understanding of nonprofit impact measurement.
- Proven ability to take initiative, set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple streams of work.
- Ability to translate data analytics into operational insights.
- Passion for data governance to protect data sources for accurate reporting.
Responsibilities
- Support measurement, learning, and evaluation frameworks, monitor metrics, and report on program and operational impact and success.
- Develop and prepare reporting solutions, including both standard and ad-hoc reports as requested.
- Integral support of the Salesforce reporting system, including creating and maintaining reports and dashboards, customization, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct data cleaning and quality control to identify errors and ensure data integrity through interdepartmental collaboration.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive and inform the development of reports and dashboards, continually improving tools and reporting capabilities.
- Develop analyses and reports to support strategic decision-making across the organization under the guidance of the VP of Research, Evaluation & System Strategy.
- Transform and validate data from Salesforce, Snowflake, and other sources.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant technical school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a combination of Analytics, Nonprofit, or Operations roles.
