Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in analyzing business requirements and translate them into effective data models
  • 8+ years of analyst experience in the form of research, requirements definition, gap analysis, data mining, and data profiling
  • Proven experience in building data visualization dashboards using Tableau and/or Power BI
  • Understanding of modeling strategies and concepts (dimensional, relational, unstructured)
  • Understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data models (3NF) in a relational database environment
  • Solid understanding of data lineage
  • Experience with scripting languages for data manipulation, querying, and profiling on cloud and on-premise database technologies – PL/SQL, SQL, Unix shell scripting, Python, R

Responsibilities

  • Combine data from multiple sources to tell a story, identify trends and patterns in the data and extract key insights to inform product strategies and decisions
  • Effectively communicate complex data modeling concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaborate with data architects, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall data strategy
  • Build data visualization dashboards using Tableau and/or Power BI
  • Break down and detail the flow of data from source to target and develop data flow diagrams
  • Work with scripting languages for data manipulation, querying, and profiling on cloud and on-premise database technologies
  • Navigate through ambiguity and work in fast-paced environment
