The Data Analyst position at DM-Infectious Diseases is looking to solve the problem of assisting the PI with analysis of data and writing of scientific manuscripts and grants, focusing on HIV and TB research.
Requirements
- Expert in R data analysis and visualization
- Previous scientific publications in medicine as primary analyst and at least secondary contributor
- At least 2 years of experience as a data analyst
- Experience with data exploration and visualization
- Experience with data cleaning and management
- Experience with 'omics data analysis
- Experience with cohort study data analysis
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of tasks as a member of a translational research team focusing on HIV and TB
- Data exploration and visualization in R, including but not limited to analysis of cohort study data and graphical and quantitative analysis of 'omics data
- Drafting concept sheets for data analysis projects, including conducting background literature searches, sample size calculations, and draft study design, study analysis, and data collection sections
- Data cleaning and management
- Communicating effectively within a team of investigators, research specialists and the PI
- Data analysis and scientific writing
- Analysis of data for scientific manuscripts and grants
Other
- A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years data analyst experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
- At least 2 years of experience as a medical research assistant (preferred)
- Outstanding skills as a scientific writer
- Ability to communicate effectively within a team
- Ability to work as a member of a translational research team
