Upstart is looking to shape its capital strategy by delivering critical analytical insights and technical expertise to demonstrate the strength of its AI-powered lending platform to institutional capital providers, develop tailored capital solutions, and foster long-term relationships.
Requirements
- Proficiency with advanced SQL techniques and experience with Python or R
- Hands-on experience working with large datasets, data modeling, and building robust data pipelines
- Familiarity with tools such as Databricks, DBT, Looker, Snowflake, and Redshift
- Experience translating complex data insights into compelling narratives using visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker
- Strong background in credit analytics, valuation, and quantitative financial modeling
- Extensive knowledge of consumer lending strategies, capital markets, private credit, or structured products (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine financial models, data pipelines, and automated reporting systems to support strategic initiatives
- Analyze loan credit performance, financial metrics, and market trends to inform decision-making
- Create compelling data visualizations and narratives for executive-level presentations and strategic discussions
- Identify opportunities, evaluate risks, and provide insights to optimize capital deployment and lending strategies
- Partner with Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Product, Engineering, and Finance teams to align on credit metrics and platform development
- Collaborate with Capital Markets and Lending Partnership teams to shape and execute Upstart’s capital strategy
- Engage directly with institutional capital investors to showcase platform strengths and build confidence
