The Energy Efficiency Data Analyst supports utility and sustainability programs by providing data-driven insights that improve program design, implementation, and regulatory compliance. This role focuses on collecting, analyzing, and interpreting program and customer data to evaluate energy savings, establish baselines, and support reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis tools.
- Experience with data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
- Knowledge of energy efficiency programs, demand-side management, and regulatory reporting requirements a plus.
- Experience working with education sector partners and developing baselines preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and manage large datasets related to energy efficiency programs and customer usage.
- Develop and validate program baselines to accurately measure energy savings and program impacts.
- Conduct statistical and trend analysis to assess performance, cost-effectiveness, and customer outcomes.
- Work with the education sector (schools, colleges, and districts) to analyze usage data, track energy efficiency projects, and provide actionable insights.
- Prepare regulatory filings, dashboards, and performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support program design and evaluation by providing data-driven recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with CPUC and other regulatory requirements.
